What personal data do we collect and why
Sensitive medical and personal data are not stored on the server of this website but within an electronic patient record of Epos Zilos for which we have a licence. See the Privacy policy valid for this system.
Once you submit the prescription request form in our patient file, you agree to keep your data. We need this data to:
- be able to estimate any side effects or complications you might have from the abortion pill,
- To check that you meet the legal requirements to be eligible for an abortion (we are required to do this),
- be able to write a valid prescription,
- conduct scientific research (where personal data is anonymised)
What programmes do we use on this website?
We use the programme Formidable to provide a contact form on this website. The data sent via this form is not stored on the website server but arrives as an e-mail to an e-mail address accessible only to us (info@thuisabortus.nl). These emails are kept for 1 year.
We use the program Word Press Visitor Statistics to get a picture of the number of visitors and the pages they visit. In the version we use, visitors are not traceable to their IP address.
With whom we share your data
Only our doctors have access to the electronic patient record.
Your GP, your pharmacist, doctors in a GP out-of-hours surgery, hospital or mental health institution all do not have access to our patient file. Only in cases of legal necessity does the Health Care Inspectorate have the right to access a file. This never happens without informing you.
We only send personal data to your preferred pharmacy that is necessary for preparing a prescription. These are never medical data. You are not obliged to have a conversation with the pharmacist or tell the reason why you are taking this medication.
Data will only be sent to your GP or a medical specialist if you ask us to do so. We do not use data for marketing purposes.
How long we keep your data
There is a legal retention period of medical data of 20 years, but keeping an abortion pill application for longer than 2 years serves no purpose in our opinion. We will delete your file after 2 years.
The anonymised data for the IGJ will be kept for a minimum of 5 years.
What rights do you have over your data
If you want your file or a query via the contact form to be deleted earlier than our 2-year retention period, this is possible at your request.
Where will your data be sent
Data transfer only takes place between the electronic health record and a pharmacist.
Data required to be submitted to the Health Care and Youth Inspectorate under the Termination of Pregnancy Act are anonymous, i.e. in no way traceable to a person.
No personal data is transferred when the prescription is declared either.
